“SWARAJ IS MY BIRTHRIGHT AND I SHALL HAVE IT”, this was quoted by Bal Ganadhar Tilak during India’s freedom struggle. After enormous blood shed, sacrifice, and struggle of our freedom fighters we have achieved ‘Swaraj’.Our freedom is a gift and legacy to us by the freedom stugglers.
Youth of 21st century are having an open sky infornt of them for achieving success and as a result India has become world’s second fastest growing economy, some more Milestones are to be achieved by us but instances like 26/11 are causing hindrance in the progress of our country. These instances rise an unanswered question that “Are we really free today?”
Acording to one of the senior faculty India is still not free because there is unequal flow of money as a result power is still in the hands of the elite classes . He also added that there are many people who earn only Rs 20 per day. Rich people are becoming richer and poor are becoming poorer..
Mr. Nitin Kapoor, alumini of ASCO Amity says “ India is superficially free, there is a need of change in mindset of people , equal opportunities should be provided to all ”.
